How to Hide Files
April 14th, 2007
Before you Read: This trick will not work on power users of Windows XP. If you hide files from a computer pro, they will be found for sure. Use encryption/password protection to hide important files. We are not responsible if the hidden files are found or deleted. It is your job to hide the files you want.
Now that is cleared, I can finally start. First off, find what files you want to hide. (I know what the sick perverts are thinking about) Oh yeah, this must be Windows XP.
1. Go to the folder.
2. Choose the files
3. Right click and choose properties
4. Where it says Attributes, click the box next to “Hidden”
5. Click “Apply” then “Ok”
6. The files should become faded out (If they disappear, that means the next couple of steps have already been done for you)
7. In the folder, click on “Tools” then “Folder Options”
8. Go to the “View” tab
9. Scroll down to “Hidden Files and Folders”
10. There should be two options, “Do not show hidden files and folders” and “Show hidden files and folders”
To hide the hidden files, click “Do not show hidden files and folders”. To show hidden files, click “Show hidden files and folders”.
11. Click on one of them to what you want to do. That way, you can go back and get your hidden files.
12. Enjoy you hidden files! (This trick can be used to hide folders also!)
