Bypassing The System: Part I
June 26th, 2007
We have all seen barriers that we cannot cross when it comes to our browsing. Whether at school or at work, sometimes you feel the need to be rebellious and go to the sites you want to go. The whole purpose of this guide is to give you ways to get to that website.
Website blocked? No problem!
1. Proxy Servers
Proxies are simple ways to get around to blocked sites. They work by basically getting the information from the end site and sending it to you. Proxy.org has a large list of proxies. We recommend proxify.com
2. Google cache
Google keeps a record of websites and their content. By browsing the cache, you can bypass that block. To look through it, go to google and search:
cache:(website here without space between it and the colon)
That concludes part I of bypassing the system.
**Note: As stated in a comment, some countries state that proxy use is illegal. If you live in one of those countries, dont use a proxy.
Agloco
June 18th, 2007
I was searching the internet when I found Agloco.
It is a company where the users rule. Agloco means a global community and that is what it is. What kind of company is it?
This is their viewbar
Agloco is sort of an advertising company. If you sign up and install their viewbar, they will pay you monthly just by having it OPEN!
It isn’t spyware. I’ve scanned it countless times and it has come clean.
Their viewbar has an ad in it, and that is how they make money. They sell the adspace, and when you have the viewbar with the ad open, they will pay you every month.
Agloco is a rapidly growing company with more and more users everyday. Who wouldn’t like money?
Come to think of it, famous blogger StevePavlina uses it too. Also, you don’t need to click on the ads to make money, just have it open.

PC World has a very interesting article on speeding up your computer by tweaking its virtual memory.
I have yet to try it on my laptop, but as soon as I do, I’ll report the results.

Free text messages
June 14th, 2007
Many probably already know this, but you can send free text messages on your computer using txtdrop.com.
And with Vista, you can get a gadget that uses txtdrop to send messages, meaning you are freed from going to that same page over and over again.
All you have to do is open your sidebar!
Youtube Video Update
May 28th, 2007
As you can see, youtube has changed its look and some features.
The player will add a feature that was already available in Google Video: jump to any part of the video even if the video isn’t fully downloaded.

For each video, you’ll be able to see around ten related videos. You don’t have to wait until the video ends to play a new one because they’re available as thumbnails if you hover over the video. The effect is similar to the dock from Mac OS X. You can also click on the two arrows to go to the previous / next video.

The “menu” button gives you access to the embedding code or to the URL of the YouTube page that shows the video. If you click on the button, the video is smoothly minimized in the left corner and it continues to play.
