Two Chat bots speak to each other
May 17th, 2007
Two chat bots, Alice and Jabberwacky, were able to converse with each other.
Amazingly, the conversation appeared profound at times and made much more sense than real humans.(Much easier to read than H3770 808 h0W 4Re Y0u?)
But at other times, it makes no sense what they say.
Both bots analyze keywords and phrases and searches for an appropriate response from its database.

To chat with one of these bots, go to the link:

Prox.y
May 10th, 2007
Today I got some weird comment about pro.xies, so I have decided to create a tutorial about pro.xies.
Just so you know, there shouldn’t be a dot between the o and the x, but some programs filter the word pro.xy
Anyways, pro.xies allow you to anonymously surf the net (or bypass filtering systems). There is a server in between you and the destination so your history cannot be tracked.
So here is how to use a pro.xy:
Either go to my Firefox pro.xy tutorial (harder) or you can listen to this tutorial (easier)
1. Go to a pro.xy website such as freebrowser.info
2. Enter in the website address
3. You have a pro.xified website! (or bypassed the system)
Find codecs for Video files
May 10th, 2007
Sometimes it is frustrating to not be able to play a video file and be unsure what is causing the problem. If you are like I was last night, then you would be grateful to easily find the codec to play the files. The MovieCodec Codec Tool allows you to find the codec that made the unplayable file so you can download it. Just drag and drop, and thats it!
Oh yeah, like most software shown on this blog, Codec Finder is free!

And if you need to download the codec, just go to:

Betamarker is a way to keep track of software you like and a way to find new software.

By doing this, the best show up on top. It’s easy to use and fun to explore.
