Diagnostics & disk scans
March 18th, 2007 by professoripod
Just posting some more cool iPod tricks you might like to test and play around with
Put your iPod into diagnostics mode
- Reset your iPod.
- Once you see the apple, quickly hold the Select and Left button down until the menu comes up.
Run a Disk Scan on your iPod
- Reset your iPod.
- When your iPod displays the Apple logo, hold down the Previous/Next/Select/Menu button for a few seconds.
- Wait 10-30 minutes for your iPod to finish scanning.
- Check what icon your iPod displays when finished:
- A “check mark” means the disk is fine.
- An “exclamation mark” means the disk scan failed.
- An “arrow” means the scan fixed some problems it found.
- Press the Play button to exit.
Done and done. And I mean done.
