So, i was just listening to my ipod and then it suddenly turned off! It syncs to the computer but once I eject it,the screen goes completely black. It still has more than half the battery so it can't be out of batteries. I've tried everything and I don't know what to do!

my 4th generation iPod nano wont turn on.
ive tried all the obvious things such as resetting it by holding the the menu and centre button and after doing this plenty of times nothing has happened.
This started when i put it onto to my ipod docking station and as soon as i put it on it made a noise and then turned off and hasnt turned back on since. I then left my ipod alone overnight and the day after tht. My battery was pretty much full when it went off so it isnt that. Then i connected to my laptop but iTunes wasnt picking it up.

Please Help Me !!

I tried repairing a broken Ipod Video 30gb 5th gen by replacing the logic board after reassembling it it turned on and I was able to put songs on it and listen to them. When unplugged the battery icon displayed the plugged in icon and after leaving it for a night it will no longer turn on or be detected by my computer.

Ok... well a friend gave me a 30gb Ipod Photo i believe. it was almost dead and of course me getting a new Ipod needed to see if it worked. in the process of listening my Ipod died. I've charged it for over 7 hours wont turn on. cant reset it because it wont turn on. (Oh by the way in the mist of charging i took it off the charger and waited like 5-10 mins and put it back on the suddenly the apple ipod logo popped onto the screen for like 2 secs then shut off) i wasnt told if this ipod was being used on a mac or not and im wondering if hooking it up to windows xp would have an effect on this ipod if its usually used on a mac.

Thank You
