As soon as I unticked that 'manually manage' button I was able to sync. Hopefully this sorts it for good because iTunes did tell me there was an error and therefore to restore my iPod which I did but still wouldn't sync until now. Fingers crossed. @ Courtney (no. 10)

I ahve a 2g Nano. And It's been syncing all my songs for the past two or three years w/out ANY problems. But when i clicked Sync it said the required disk or whatever was not found! And on top of that iTunes decided to be funny and it deleted ALL my songs off my iPod. So I ahve a songless iPod.
