as promised in my review, here is a quick video of os x leopard running on my HP dv6700t.  i used the kalyway build and have it setup to use the Vista bootloader and the chain0 method to dual boot vista and leopard.

Sweet! Good luck getting the sound working. Let us know what the problem is.

Nice. Any other peripherals not working right on your dv6700? I have a d620 and wiredLan does not work. I’m looking for a better laptop with better osx compatibility.

@CT

the SD/MS reader may not work either but i will check tonight.

wlan does not work but that is common w/the Intel 4965 adapters and OSX

biometric does not work either and i am still working on sound. if wifi worked, i’d prob use osx more on my hp but no wifi is big showstopper for me to use osx.

oh yea, the hp hdtv tuner also does not work either. :)

Does your blu ray player function on leopard? How about the built in webcam…I am ordering the same laptop in the next week and wanted to get some information about how leopard runs on that system.

@Telaed

bluray does not function; but can be read as a data disc w/toast.

audio still not working but there seems to be others who have gotten the ALC268 codec working.

webcam works w/Photobooth, but again mic does not due to audio not working.

SD card reader not working either. i plan to post a pretty exhaustive list of items that work and don’t and which install/builds work the best (i’ve installed osx on my hp about 7 times in the last day trying to get sound working)
:P

[…] last year i tried using a kalyway osx86 distro/installer and had pretty good success except for no builtin wifi, shaddy shutdown/audio issues (you either get working shutdown and no audio, or audio and having to hard power down laptop; doh!) which are two big negatives if your trying to use it as your main os. Something to say?
