Facebook FarmVille Cheat: How to Plow, Plant and Harvest Faster

Even though your farmer is rather quick, you still have to wait as he walks around. By using this little cheat, you can plow, plant and even harvest much faster. It will cost you 300 coins upfront, but it’s a small price to pay for the increase in farming speed.
First thing you need to do is free up one of the corners of your farm so that there is nothing planted or standing in the way. Move your farmer to the absolute corner position.
Go purchase three bales of hay.
Pin your farmer in the corner using the bales of hay.
Now do your plowing, planting or harvesting as you normally would. The action occurs much quicker, I haven’t even seen the progress bar come up. When you are finished, you can move one of the bales of hay so that your farmer doesn’t feel like a prisoner. When it’s time to plow, plant, or harvest again, just pin him back in the corner.

I didn’t have to buy the hay….just used a picnic table I already had, and a sheep to block the opening in the fenced area I already had on my farm.

it´s better to pin him on the center that way every time you load farmville you dont need to do it again

great idea! im going to try it later today soon as my crops are ready. I have a lot of lag on my system so anything to speed it up makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

It does work when you plow, harvest, AND plant, Eclisse123. I do it all the time, except I didn’t buy hay for it. I had some crates I received as ribbon prizes, so I used those for a while, pinning her against my corral. Then in upgrading my farm, I enclosed my crops in a fence. Now I open the “gate” and send my li’l farmer out of the field. When I close the gate, I’m free to do whatever I need to do. The progress bar still appears above her head, as well as the number of coins I’m banking. Of course, this is only necessary during manual plowing, planting and harvesting. She stays put when I use my farm vehicles.

Thanks for this great trick! I just tried it after reading it and it worked both for plowing and planting. Now I gotta wait until my crops are ready to harvest!

Didn’t see this site until we also found this out by accident. Avatar landed inside corral didn’t realize it was working a lot faster. works on harvesting, plowing, and seeding.

I have enclosed him right in the center with hay blocks. So whenever my neighbor visit he is also enclosed there. Some of my friends do it too. When i visit their farms i m totally enclosed. But i noticed its not possible to use 5 fertilizers then. Even i see my fertilized crops. Its only 4 plots fertilized by my friends. Anyone any idea about this?

Ihsan, you are absolutely correct, as i also have noticed this same problem. The problem only exists when a neighbor chooses to “permanently” pin their avatar at the default starting spot on their farm… this spot is also the same spot that a visiting neighbor will start at when going to help a neighbor… so the visitor is now trapped and won’t receive credit for the first sack of fertilizer because “the first sack requires free movement of the visiting “avatar”… resulting in both players losing one xp… the solution….. only pin avatar “temporarily” while harvesting, plowing, and planting… this way, visitors won’t be trapped and fertilizer will work properly on all 5 sacks… I usually just trap my avatar temporarily in a pen with my animals, while harvesting, plowing, and planting… then when i close and restart the app. my avatar automatically starts again in the default spot… and no more lost credits when someone fertilizes my farm…. hope this helps and happy farming

Thanks for the info, I noticed some of my friends had set up the “trap” on their farms. I quickly realized the benefit and did the same, but did not attribute the fertilizer problem I was experiencing to the trap.
Now, most of my friends have set done this and I am trapped when I show up at their farm. However, I only experience the fertilizer glitch at the first farm I visit each day. Subsequent farms I visit, even when trapped immediately, allow me to use all five fertilizers.
Any thoughts on this?
