Use Hard Eyeglass Cases to Protect Your Gadgets and Gear
February 28th, 2010
I wear eyeglasses and each time I get a new set of frames, they give me a hard eyeglass case to protect my new glasses. I used to just store my old cases in a drawer since I didn’t need the old ones since I had a new replacement case. I now use my old cases to keep my gadgets and gear safe and easily accessible when I store them in my laptop bag.
My Zune HD (plus headphones) resides in it’s own case, keeping the device protected and the headphones untangled.

Another case keeps my spare USB cord, Nexus One charger, and Jabra headset, no more searching through my bag to find them. The cases also come in handy for protecting cellphones, SD cards, flash drives, the list goes on and on. If you don’t wear glasses, you can pick up some cases for cheap at a secondhand store.

I found out the hard way. Dropped my thumb drive while getting into the car, didn’t notice it until I had run over it. Fortunately, it was in a hard eyeglass case. The case was mashed up pretty badly(I paid $1 for it at the dollar store.), but the thumb drive was fine.
