Speed up the Mac Mini hard drive

This is a great and simple tip. As mentioned here on Slashdot. One can use an external FireWire drive as the primary drive on a Mac Mini and get signifigantly improved hard drive performance, not to mention upgrading the hard drive size becomes much easier. Current Macs have the ability to use an external FireWire drive as a boot device, and many people did a basic OSX install on their iPod to have a quick Mac repair disc.
