iPhoto users have the ability to order printed books of all their prints if they so wish (and if you didn’t know that, learn more here). The problem with the books is that while the small ones have great image quality (at 300DPI) the large ones can sometimes come at much lower quality (150DPI). If you wish to order a book of your prints, here’s a little hack which will make sure all your books use high-quality images.

If you’re a Mac user, you probably use iPhoto to keep your image collection organized. If you do, you may also want to have your image collection online on Flickr, and now you can by using FlickrExport. There application is completely free (open source even), and will work just fine as long as you’re running iPhoto 4 or newer, or Mac OSX 10.3 or later.

Keyword Assistant is little plugin for iPhoto that improves that applications ability to handle keywords. it lets you enter keywords in an auto-completing text field, like the ‘To:’ field in your email client. The application is extremely useful if you’d like to export your photos to Flickr later on (via an application like FlickrExport). Keyword Assistant is free but requires at least iPhoto 4 and Mac OSX 10.3 or later.

So you decided to start sharing some photos on Flickr and found some people’s photos you really enjoy– maybe they’re your friend’s, your sister’s, or just someone with a real talent for photography. Nevertheless, you want to keep updated when they upload a new photo to their account but are just too lazy to check them manually yourself. Check out Notifyr, a free service which will e-mail you whenever a Flickr site you specified is updated. There’s no signing up, and your e-mail address remains confidential so go ahead and give it a short; it works great.

A new service, called UFeed, allows you to create a single page that will list all of your photos from flickr, blog posts, and links from del.icio.us. It will give a fairly easy url to remember: http://ufeed.semsym.com/feeds/[your-username-here]/. Check it out here.
