MapChat, innovative chat client that combines Google Maps

About a week or two ago, I came upon MapChat which offers a pretty innovative chat client that uses AJAX and integrates Google Maps into its interface so that you can see, in real time, who is typing and where they are from. Having spent years of my life on IRC channels, this is a pretty cool and different way of chatting which people which I’d love to see other clients make use of. I had a chance to exchange e-mails with Terry Nisenbaum of The Midnight Coders, who are developing the application, so if you want more info, read on to lear all about MapChat.

Why you should check out BLAG GNU/Linux

OK, I’ve been sitting on this article for about a month, so it’s time to write it. In my article about various Linux distro’s, I tried to mention my two personal favorite underdogs, BLAG and Arch Linux. Arch has actually had a bit of attention at mainstream sites like OSNews, but almost no one ever makes mention of BLAG, so I wanted to bring it to the spotlight.
