There’s lots of news going on this week including major announcements from Apple, interesting talks between Microsoft and Yahoo! to unify their IM networks, the DARPA race, MTV buying iFilm (What!? Yeah, that is what I said), Google hiring the lead GAIM developer, and some lawsuit settlements.

Thought the Motorola CEO’s comments on the iPod Nano were childish? This week Apple shot back, Dell and HP have beef with MS and Intel over their HD-DVD decision, and MTV and Sprint think people will actually buy videos on their phones. Additionally, looks like Google, not content with owning the world, are looking to space through a partnership with NASA. Am I on the right planet here?

Actually, the podcast was recorded yesterday, but I figured I’d use today’s date since that’s when it’s coming out. We’ve got some interesting news this week, including the announcement of Opera (the browser, not the music) becoming free, rumors of Google buying AOL, the XBOX 360 pricing strategy, and more. The most interesting news of the week? A new service called GameTap which might be worth checking out.
